India’s National Security Adviser Ajit Doval will visit China for talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on August 24.

The talks also come as India prepares for a possible visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
If confirmed, the visit would mark Xi’s first trip to India in seven years. As a result, Doval’s meeting with Wang Yi could help prepare the ground for high-level engagement between the two countries.
