Chinese travel content creator Hua Yi Cun has showcased Pakistan’s tourism attractions to millions of Chinese viewers during a familiarization tour of the country.
The tour formed part of celebrations marking the 75th anniversary of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations. The Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) organized the visit with support from the Embassy of Pakistan in China and the Gilgit-Baltistan Tourism Department.
Exploring Pakistan’s Northern Landscapes
During his visit, Hua explored Islamabad and several destinations across Gilgit-Baltistan. His journey included Skardu, Khaplu and Shigar, where he experienced the region’s landscapes, cultural heritage and local hospitality.
At the iconic Shangrila Resort in Skardu, Hua was particularly impressed by the peaceful surroundings of Shangrila Lake.
Moreover, his experiences highlighted the region’s cuisine, traditions and distinctive travel opportunities for Chinese audiences.
Reaching More Than 40 Million Followers
Hua used his digital platforms to share Pakistan’s mountains, culture and tourism experiences with his large Chinese audience.
His combined social media following exceeds 40 million. Therefore, his content could significantly increase Pakistan’s visibility among potential Chinese tourists.
The campaign also provides viewers with a first-hand look at Pakistan as a diverse and welcoming tourism destination.
Promoting Pakistan-China People-to-People Ties
PTDC said it remains committed to promoting Pakistan internationally through strategic partnerships and digital tourism initiatives.
In addition, the corporation highlighted the importance of people-to-people connections between Pakistan and China.
Such initiatives can introduce Pakistan’s tourism potential to new audiences. They can also encourage more Chinese travelers to explore the country.
Digital Tourism Opens New Opportunities
The collaboration demonstrates the growing role of digital creators in promoting international tourism.
As Chinese audiences discover Pakistan through travel content, these campaigns can help strengthen tourism links and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
Ultimately, the initiative adds a new dimension to the longstanding Pakistan-China friendship while promoting Pakistan as an emerging tourism destination.
