Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday warmly congratulated the people of Pakistan and China on the historic 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Shared commitment to long-term cooperation
In his message, the premier said that commemorating this important milestone in a befitting manner would help the people of both nations, especially the younger generations, better understand the depth, scope, vitality, and future-oriented nature of Pakistan-China ties. Moreover, the Prime Minister asserted that Pakistan values China’s contributions to global peace, and its achievements in economic development and technological development.
“The 75th anniversary of the establishment of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations is not only about remembering the past; it is about shaping the future. At a time of increasing global uncertainty and transformation, Pakistan and China remain committed to multilateralism, peaceful coexistence, and inclusive development. Our All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership continues to serve as a positive force for regional stability and international cooperation,” PM Shehbaz said.
75-Rupee coin:
The State Bank of Pakistan has also released a commemorative 75-Rupee coin to mark 75 years of diplomatic ties between the 2 countries. The reverse side features the national flags of both countries, the words “Trust, Friendship, Support” in English, and the inscription “75 Years of Pakistan-China Diplomatic Relations” in Urdu and Chinese script.
China Pakistan cooperation has expanded over the years through the inclusion of new frontiers like digital economy, space exploration, innovation, education and cultural exchange. Th relation between the 2 countries are expected to grow stronger in the coming decades.
