A group of seven students from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology has departed for China to complete their final year of studies.
The students will study at the Yunnan Vocational Institute of Energy Technology under a joint academic program. This initiative focuses on mining engineering and technical training.
Dual Program with Global Exposure
The students are enrolled in a Degree-plus-Diploma program in Mining Engineering. The program is offered under TANG International Education.
As part of the initiative, they will receive advanced technical training in China. In addition, they will gain international academic exposure and practical industry experience.
Strengthening Pakistan–China Education Ties
According to Tang Pakistan Technical Education, the program strengthens educational cooperation between Pakistan and China. It also aims to develop skilled professionals for the mining and resources sector.
Moreover, the initiative combines academic learning with vocational training. This approach improves employment opportunities for Pakistani students.
Departure Ceremony Highlights
At Karachi airport, the students marked their departure with banners highlighting their journey. The banners emphasized a future linked to career opportunities and potential roles in projects related to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
The program is supported by Chinese institutions, including Yunnan Energy Group. It offers fully sponsored, job-oriented training in Intelligent Mining Technology.
A Step Toward Career Growth
Overall, the initiative provides students with valuable international experience and technical expertise. It also reflects growing collaboration in education and skill development between Pakistan and China.
