Senior Chinese leaders attended group deliberations with provincial deputies at the fourth session of the 14th National People’s Congress, emphasizing sustainable growth, industrial modernization, technological self-reliance, green development, and poverty alleviation to ensure a strong start to the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030).
Top legislator Zhao Leji called on provinces to implement work effectively, build modern industrial systems with local strengths, and support the construction of a unified national market. Political advisor Wang Huning highlighted the integration of science and technology with industry, adherence to ecological priorities, and acceleration of rural revitalization.
Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang urged genuine high-quality growth and stronger science and technology capabilities. Li Xi stressed good governance and anti-corruption efforts, while Vice President Han Zheng encouraged provinces to respond to external challenges, deepen reforms, and boost China’s high-quality development momentum.
