Escalating military tensions in the Middle East have forced airlines to suspend more than 500 flights across Pakistan, significantly disrupting both domestic and international travel.
The crisis intensified after heightened confrontation between Iran and Israel, with involvement from the United States, leading several regional countries to close or restrict their airspace. As a result, airlines operating to and from Pakistan were compelled to cancel or reroute flights due to safety concerns.
Although Pakistan’s airspace remains officially open, the closure of key Middle Eastern aviation corridors disrupted scheduled operations, particularly routes connecting major hubs in the Gulf region. Aviation authorities stated that passenger safety remains the top priority amid the evolving security situation.
Major airports including Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad reported widespread delays and cancellations, while cargo operations also faced interruptions. Officials have yet to announce a timeline for the full restoration of normal flight schedules as regional instability continues.
