During the Spring Festival holiday, China’s information and communications sector reinforced the national network and service reliability. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) guided telecom operators to monitor performance at over 13,000 transport hubs and tourist destinations.
To ensure smooth connectivity, operators deployed more than 260,000 additional 4G and 5G base stations. Over 21,000 critical communication circuits were provided for key government users, supporting more than 8,000 essential operational scenarios.
Extensive inspections were carried out on over 840,000 base stations and 23.75 million kilometers of transmission lines. Additionally, more than 240,000 emergency communications personnel and 49,000 vehicles were pre-positioned to provide rapid response and maintain network stability.
