Pakistan’s textile exports to China in 2025 show a significant shift from raw materials toward higher-value finished products. Cotton yarn, though still the backbone of trade, saw a slight decline due to inventory adjustments and strategic focus on downstream processing rather than weakened demand.
Value-added textile categories recorded strong growth. Home textiles surged by over 30%, made-up textile articles more than doubled, and garments—including women’s and children’s clothing—posted notable year-on-year gains. These developments reflect Pakistan’s rising manufacturing capacity and China’s increasing demand for high-quality finished products.
Experts say this structural shift strengthens Pakistan-China economic ties, supports industrial diversification, and aligns with Beijing’s focus on resilient supply chains. Moving toward value addition will improve competitiveness, increase exporter profits, and enhance the overall quality of Pakistan’s textile exports.
