A dedicated power feeder supplying uninterrupted electricity to the Pak-China Friendship Hospital in Gwadar has been successfully energised, ensuring 24-hour power to the key healthcare facility, according to the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA).
The underground power line, connected directly from the Gwadar grid station, was energised under the supervision of Chinese experts and engineers. The underground cabling protects the feeder from humidity, adverse weather, and technical faults, ensuring reliable power supply.
Completed through a special grant from the Government of Balochistan, the project allows sensitive medical equipment to operate fully. Operated by the Indus Hospital & Health Network, the hospital provides emergency, diagnostic, maternal, and tertiary healthcare services to Gwadar residents.
