Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa met Uzbek Ambassador Alisher Tukhtayev at CDA Headquarters, Islamabad, to discuss bilateral relations and cooperation. Both leaders emphasized strengthening city-level ties and mutual benefits.
The meeting covered proposals for granting sister city status to Islamabad and Tashkent, allocating an Uzbekistan-themed area in F-9 Park, and relocating the Uzbek Embassy to the Diplomatic Enclave.
Ambassador Tukhtayev praised Islamabad’s greenery, beauty, and cleanliness, while the CDA Chairman agreed to facilitate the naming of a highway as “New Uzbekistan” and enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
