The Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) and the Chinese Consulate in Lahore have agreed to form dedicated focal teams to assist Chinese companies operating in Punjab. During a meeting between PBIT CEO Imran Khawar and Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren, both sides emphasized the need to strengthen economic collaboration and support the relocation of Chinese industries to the province.
The initiative aims to improve coordination between PBIT and the Chinese Consulate, ensuring smoother investment processes and faster resolution of business-related issues. Officials stated that the dedicated teams will streamline facilitation, address investor concerns promptly, and further strengthen the partnership between Punjab and China.
