Pakistan’s Ambassador to the EU, Belgium, and Luxembourg, Rahim Hayat Qureshi, held detailed discussions with Lucie Sestakova, Head of Cabinet to the EU Commissioner for International Partnerships. The meeting focused on reviewing existing bilateral cooperation and exploring new avenues under the Global Gateway initiative, highlighting potential partnerships in green transitions, digital connectivity, skills development, and sustainable economic growth.
Ambassador Qureshi also engaged with László Kristóffy, Head of Cabinet to the EU Commissioner for Health and Animal Welfare, to strengthen collaboration in health resilience, biotechnology, critical medicines, and the One Health framework. The discussion emphasized joint approaches to tackle emerging health challenges and improve healthcare systems in Pakistan.
These high-level meetings reflected the growing positivity in Pakistan-EU relations and underscored the shared commitment to deepen collaboration across strategic, economic, and health sectors.
