PM lauds Navy’s role in Operation Bunyanum Marsoos as he visited Naval Dockyard on his visit to Karachi and interacted with naval officers.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif visited the Naval Dockyard in Karachi to honour the Pakistan Navy for its vital role in Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.
During his visit, the Prime Minister engaged with Pakistan Navy officers and sailors, commending their outstanding professionalism, high combat preparedness, and unwavering dedication to national security.
In his address, the Prime Minister praised the Navy’s firm stance, operational excellence, and its effective deterrence in responding to maritime threats posed by adversaries.
He extended the nation’s deep gratitude and reiterated full confidence in the operational strength and capabilities of Pakistan’s Armed Forces.
The Prime Minister highlighted the Navy’s key role in securing maritime trade routes and ensuring the smooth flow of commerce, while maintaining complete sovereignty at sea through robust layered defence.
He reflected on the Navy’s proud history of impactful operations, noting its readiness to carry out high-intensity missions like the historic Operation Dwarka whenever necessary.
On arrival, the Prime Minister was welcomed by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, along with Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir and Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Baber Sidhu.
He also boarded the Type-054A Class Destroyer PNS TAIMUR, where Commander Pakistan Fleet briefed him on the Navy’s strategic outlook, operational engagements, and significant contributions.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Information Minister Attaulah Tarar, and Education Minister Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui during the visit.
