Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng stated on Sunday that recent high-level economic and trade discussions between China and the United States were thorough, transparent, and constructive.
As China’s lead representative for economic and trade matters with the U.S., He shared these remarks during a media briefing after concluding talks with American officials.
He Lifeng revealed that the two countries had achieved several important understandings and agreed to create a formal mechanism for ongoing economic and trade consultations.
He added that both nations would soon finalize specific details and issue a joint statement on Monday summarizing the outcomes of their discussions.
Given current global dynamics, He noted, the international community paid close attention to this high-level meeting.
He emphasized that the discussions were productive due to mutual efforts and represented a significant move toward narrowing differences through equal dialogue, paving the way for enhanced cooperation.
