Jensen Huang, CEO of American tech company Nvidia, arrived in Beijing on Thursday and held a meeting with Ren Hongbin, chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
In the meeting, Huang highlighted China’s significance as a major market for Nvidia and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to maintaining and advancing cooperation with China.
This visit marks Huang’s second trip to Beijing within three months, following recent U.S. government restrictions on the export of Nvidia’s H20 AI chip to China, one of its key markets.
According to media reports, Nvidia’s stock has dropped by 22 percent this year, with a sharp 7 percent decline on Wednesday. The dip followed the company’s warning that the latest export curbs to China could lead to multi-billion dollar losses.
