China’s top legislator meets President Zardari highlighting the importance of accelerated efforts to build stronger China-Pakistan community.
Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC), held a meeting with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari in Beijing on Wednesday.
China remains committed to working with Pakistan to uphold their longstanding friendship, implement key agreements reached by their leaders, and accelerate efforts to build an even stronger China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era.
Highlighting the significance of legislative exchanges in bilateral relations, Zhao stated that the NPC is eager to collaborate with the Pakistani parliament to enhance communication at all levels and ensure legal support for China-Pakistan cooperation.
Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for China’s core interests and major concerns, while also endorsing the three global initiatives proposed by China: the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, and the Global Civilization Initiative.
He emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening legislative interactions and deepening the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership between the two nations.
