New exhibition in Beijing offers glimpse into ancient Greece as both cities share a strong cultural bond.
An exhibition showcasing an extensive collection of artifacts from Greek museums opened to the public on Thursday in Beijing, providing a comprehensive glimpse into the history and culture of ancient Greece.
Titled “The Greeks: Agamemnon to Alexander the Great,” the exhibition will remain at the Capital Museum of China until May 18, 2025, after which it will move to Shanghai for its next display.
The exhibition presents 270 artifacts, including pottery, stone sculptures, and gold relics, sourced from 14 Greek museums and institutions. Greek Ambassador to China Evgenios Kalpyris highlighted that the event offers an in-depth exploration of Greek civilization through the ages.
