President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday praised the security forces for their successful Sherani operation in Balochistan. In this counter-terrorism action, troops eliminated seven Indian-backed terrorists belonging to the group Fitna al-Khawarij.
The leaders hailed the courage, professionalism, and sacrifice of the troops. They described them as national heroes who foiled the designs of anti-state elements. Moreover, both leaders reaffirmed that the nation stands firmly with its armed forces in the fight against terrorism.
President Zardari paid tribute to the martyrs and their families. He stressed that Pakistan’s resolve to eradicate terrorism remains unshakable. According to him, the Sherani counter-terrorism operation reflected the state’s commitment to protecting its citizens and ensuring long-term stability.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that the terrorists who targeted innocent civilians were decisively defeated. He declared that Pakistan will never allow groups seeking to undermine its sovereignty and integrity to succeed. Furthermore, he vowed that the government and security forces will continue uprooting terrorist networks, denying them safe havens, and protecting all citizens.
Both leaders underlined that terrorism will be crushed with the full support of the nation and its armed forces. Therefore, they reaffirmed the state’s pledge to restore lasting peace in Balochistan and across Pakistan.
