The heads of Pakistan’s armed forces have extended heartfelt greetings to the nation on Independence Day and reaffirmed their commitment to defending the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu conveyed their message on behalf of the Armed Forces of Pakistan.
Tribute to Pakistan’s Founding Fathers
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Armed Forces paid tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founding fathers, and everyone whose sacrifices helped establish Pakistan as a sovereign state.
Their vision and determination, the statement said, continue to guide the nation and inspire commitment to Pakistan’s founding principles.
Honouring Martyrs and Veterans
The Armed Forces also paid tribute to the country’s martyrs and acknowledged the services of veterans and law enforcement personnel.
Moreover, they recognized the contributions of Pakistanis who have served the country in different capacities. Their dedication, the statement noted, has strengthened Pakistan’s resilience and helped protect its security and national interests.
Resolve to Defend the Motherland
As guardians of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, the Armed Forces reaffirmed their determination to defend the country against all threats.
They also pledged to uphold the Constitution and fulfil the trust placed in them by the people.
Furthermore, the services chiefs said the Armed Forces would continue supporting peace and stability while helping create conditions for national development and prosperity.
Call for National Unity
The statement emphasized that Pakistan’s strength lies in the unity and collective determination of its people.
On Independence Day, the Armed Forces called on citizens to renew their commitment to Faith, Unity, and Discipline.
They also urged greater national cohesion, tolerance, and collective efforts to build a secure, stable, and prosperous Pakistan.
