Security forces killed four more terrorists of the Indian proxy group “Fitna-al-Hindustan” during a sanitisation operation in Kalat, Balochistan, according to a statement released by the ISPR. The operation followed an earlier intelligence-based action on July 19 in which four militants from the same network were neutralised.
“During the conduct of the operation, four more terrorists of Fitna al-Hindustan were hunted down and successfully neutralized,” said the ISPR, adding that a terrorist hideout was also dismantled and a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered.
The statement reaffirmed Pakistan’s stance, stating: “Security forces of Pakistan, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts by Indian proxies at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan.”
The government has labelled all terrorist outfits operating in Balochistan as “Fitna al-Hindustan”, a move intended to highlight India’s alleged role in fueling instability in the province.
President Asif Ali Zardari commended the armed forces for eliminating the militants, praising their bravery and professionalism. “The terrorists want to sabotage the peace and stability in the country, which can never be allowed as the nation is united and the scourge of terrorism will be defeated at all costs,” he said. The president also reiterated that operations against terrorism would continue until it is completely eradicated.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif echoed the same resolve: “The elements of Fitna al-Hindustan, who are enemies of the country’s solidarity, will be rooted out.” He reaffirmed the government’s and armed forces’ unwavering commitment to defeating terrorism and protecting civilians.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also applauded the swift action of the security forces, stating, “Security forces, through timely action, thwarted the nefarious intentions of Indian-sponsored terrorists. The nation views the operations of the security forces to eliminate India’s terrorist elements with appreciation.”
He added: “The exemplary end of Indian-sponsored terrorists is a clear message that there will be no place for this menace to hide in Pakistan. We will eliminate every single terrorist of the Indian menace from Pakistan.”
These developments come amid a noticeable uptick in terrorist activity across Balochistan. The province has seen a rise in attacks targeting civilians and security personnel, including a deadly assault on a passenger bus in Kalat last week that claimed three lives and injured seven others.
Earlier in April, ISPR DG Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry presented “irrefutable evidence” of Indian state-sponsored terrorism, accusing Indian military personnel of orchestrating attacks through their proxies within Pakistan.
