President Asif Ali Zardari extended heartfelt congratulations to the leadership and people of Kazakhstan on the occasion of their 34th Independence Day, celebrated on December 16. He conveyed warm wishes to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and expressed hopes for Kazakhstan’s continued peace, stability, and prosperity.
The president highlighted that Independence Day marks the historic adoption of the Law on Independence and State Sovereignty in 1991, a milestone that paved the way for Kazakhstan’s emergence as a modern and progressive nation. He praised the resilience and determination of the Kazakh people in shaping their national journey.
President Zardari noted that Pakistan and Kazakhstan enjoy friendly relations based on mutual respect and shared values. He appreciated Kazakhstan’s consistent support for Pakistan at international forums, including the United Nations and the OIC, and emphasized growing cooperation in trade, energy, regional connectivity, and emerging opportunities under CPEC.
