Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to standing with cancer patients and strengthening the country’s response to the disease on World Cancer Day.
In his message, the prime minister said the fight against cancer is a shared national responsibility, adding that policy reforms and stronger public-private partnerships have improved access to treatment, particularly for underprivileged communities.
He emphasized prevention, early diagnosis, healthcare investment and public awareness as central pillars of the government’s approach, calling for collective action to ensure compassionate care and a healthier future for all Pakistanis.
