Interim Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, who attended the 3rd Belt and Road Forum in China, has extended an invitation to China for investment in solar parks to support Pakistan’s fight against climate change and reduce the nation’s energy import expenses.

Upon his arrival in Beijing, he was welcomed by various officials. During a conference in China, PM Kakar emphasized the dual benefits of such investments, as they would aid Pakistan in its climate action efforts while also cutting down on energy import costs.

He expressed Pakistan’s desire to learn from China’s models for industrial parks and special economic zones, underscoring the enduring friendship and mutual trust between the two countries. Kakar regarded the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a manifestation of strategic cooperation and a catalyst for job creation, poverty alleviation, and rural revitalization.
