PIMEC 2025 strengthens maritime and trade ties with China as Mr. Zohair Naseer, Chairman of Badar Group and CEO of Badar Expo Solutions, led a high-level delegation to Beijing and Yantai. The visit marked a milestone in international engagement for the upcoming Pakistan International Maritime Expo & Conference (PIMEC).
The delegation attended the Pakistan-China B2B Conference in Beijing, co-chaired by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, where business leaders explored fresh opportunities to expand bilateral trade.
Engagement at Yantai Deep-Sea Aquaculture Expo
In Yantai, the delegation joined the 2025 Deep-Sea Aquaculture and Modern Fishery Equipment Expo. Addressing the forum, Mr. Naseer highlighted Pakistan’s maritime potential and investment prospects in fisheries, aquaculture, and logistics.
Key innovations on display included next-generation fishing vessel engines, advanced netting materials, and full-scale Antarctic krill pumping vessels. China’s strong industrial clusters from Shandong, Anhui, and Hunan were also showcased, alongside participation from global enterprises and research institutes.
PIMEC 2025: Driving the Blue Economy
Building on these exchanges, Mr. Naseer formally invited Chinese companies to participate in PIMEC 2025, scheduled for 3–6 November 2025 in Karachi. The event, backed by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Pakistan Navy, will serve as a gateway for B2B, B2G, and G2G cooperation.
Priority areas include shrimp farming expansion in Sindh and Balochistan, deep-sea fishing modernisation, export processing zones in Karachi and Gwadar, and joint ventures for technology transfer.
