Pakistan’s salt exports to China increased by around 20 percent in 2025, reaching $7.18 million, according to data released by the General Administration of Customs of China, reflecting steady growth in bilateral trade.
The data showed that industrial and other salt accounted for the bulk of exports, with Hebei Province emerging as the largest destination, importing salt worth $3.81 million. Other major buyers included Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Guangdong, and Inner Mongolia, alongside shipments to several additional provinces and municipalities.
Industry sources said competitive pricing, abundant reserves, and improved compliance with Chinese quality standards supported the growth. Exporters added that value-added salt products, better logistics, and expanding trade channels could further boost Pakistan’s salt exports to China in the coming years.
