Pakistan’s jewellery industry is shining globally as the nation’s finest gemstone craftsmanship debuts at the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai. The spotlight this year falls on WINZA, a renowned Pakistani brand presenting the world’s largest gem-quality kunzite , a 3,051-carat crystal officially recognised by Guinness World Records.
The remarkable gemstone, sourced from northern Pakistan, highlights the country’s growing potential in luxury exports. WINZA’s “mine-to-masterpiece” model ensures every step, from extraction to design, reflects tradition blended with modern precision.
Kunzite, known for its delicate pink and lavender tones, rarely appears in such impressive size and clarity. Its debut at CIIE marks a milestone in Pakistan’s luxury trade, strengthening ties with China’s high-end market.
WINZA’s legacy spans over a century through the Chaudhry family’s mastery in gem artistry. As reported by China Economic Net, the company oversees all stages mining, cutting, and crafting ensuring authenticity and creative control. This model appeals to Chinese consumers who value both provenance and story.
Industry experts note that collaboration between Pakistani jewellers and Chinese designers is redefining cross-border craftsmanship. WINZA’s success reflects this shift in seven years, its Chinese market share rose from 20% to over 50%, with annual growth averaging 30%.
Since the second phase of the Pakistan-China Free Trade Agreement, gemstone exports have grown rapidly. Beyond jewellery, Pakistan’s pavilion at CIIE showcases more than 20 companies offering textiles, marble, and artisanal goods symbolising a clear shift from raw materials to refined luxury brands.
Kunzite’s showcase is more than an exhibit , it represents Pakistan’s entry into the global luxury arena. The gemstone embodies a story of heritage, craftsmanship, and trade diplomacy, reflecting national pride and international recognition.
