Pakistan’s armed forces launched intelligence-based airstrikes on seven terrorist camps along the Afghanistan border, killing more than 80 militants. The operation targeted TTP and ISKP hideouts in Nangarhar, Paktika, and Khost provinces in retaliation for recent deadly attacks inside Pakistan.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said the strikes were a calculated response to protect citizens during Ramazan, carried out with precautions to avoid civilian casualties. Pakistani authorities stressed the operation was limited and proportionate to the threat.
The Afghan Taliban condemned the strikes as a violation of sovereignty, while Pakistan insisted that militants have been using Afghan soil for attacks. Officials warned operations would continue against terrorist hideouts until Pakistan’s national security is fully ensured.
