Pakistan and Qatar held an informal yet productive conversation on the sidelines of the SCO Heads of Government Meeting in Moscow, where Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar met Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. The discussion focused on advancing the strong political partnership shared by both countries.
The two leaders exchanged views on strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in areas of trade, investment, labour, and regional connectivity. They reaffirmed the importance of sustained dialogue to support peace and development across the region, especially as both states continue to expand their diplomatic footprint.
Officials noted that Pakistan and Qatar are committed to deepening collaboration under multilateral platforms like the SCO. The meeting also highlighted the growing economic opportunities between the two nations, including Qatar’s interest in Pakistan’s energy and infrastructure sectors.
