Pakistan and Oman are considering stronger maritime connectivity, including potential links between Gwadar Port and ports in Oman, to improve regional economic integration across the Arabian Sea. The discussion took place during a policy roundtable in Islamabad.
Experts and policymakers from both countries highlighted opportunities for cooperation in trade, energy, maritime security, and infrastructure development. Gwadar Port was described as an important gateway connecting regional markets.
Officials noted that expanding Pakistan–Oman collaboration could support economic growth, strengthen regional stability, and enhance connectivity between South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East.
