Pakistan’s exports of tools, implements, cutlery, and related base-metal articles to China increased 5% in 2025, reaching $8.14 million, up from $7.76 million in 2024, according to the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC). Hand tools led the export basket, followed by scissors and safety razor blades.
Zhejiang Province was the largest destination, receiving $1.78 million in exports under processing trade, followed by Shanghai and Guangdong. Analysts say Pakistan’s competitive pricing, improving quality, and skilled metalworking base continue to support demand in China’s industrial and consumer markets.
Local exporters, including Faisal Shahzad from Wazirabad, noted that blending traditional techniques with modern innovation has strengthened Pakistan’s position in China. With growing trade cooperation, Pakistan’s cutlery and base-metal tools exports are expected to maintain stable growth in the coming years.
