Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stressed the importance of expanding Pakistan’s export volume to Qatar, particularly in sectors where Pakistan holds a competitive advantage. He noted that increasing trade would support economic stability and open new opportunities for local producers.
During meetings in Doha with Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Trade Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Sayed, both sides discussed enhancing commercial cooperation and facilitating business partnerships. Officials emphasized that stronger private-sector links could accelerate bilateral trade growth.
The discussions also covered Pakistan’s ongoing reforms aimed at attracting foreign investment and improving the ease of doing business. Both countries agreed to continue engagement through institutional channels to translate dialogue into practical initiatives that benefit their economies.
