The Pak-China Friendship Cup All Pakistan 3×3 Basketball Championship has officially started at Liaquat Gymnasium, Islamabad, marking 75 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China. The event is organized under the Federal Basketball Association, in collaboration with the Pakistan Sports Board, and supervised by the Pakistan Basketball Federation.
Competitions are being held across three categories: women’s, club, and departmental. The women’s category includes 28 teams, featuring strong departmental sides such as Army and WAPDA, while the club category has 48 teams from Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, and other cities, reflecting the growing popularity of the 3×3 basketball format nationwide.
The departmental category sees participation from 13 teams, including Pakistan Army, WAPDA, Pakistan Police, Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Ordnance Factories, and Pakistan Navy. The Embassy of China in Pakistan is hosting a cultural ceremony to celebrate the Chinese New Year, promoting friendship, goodwill, and cultural exchange alongside this exciting championship.
