The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has rolled out a new digital service enabling citizens to register births and deaths online through its Pak ID mobile application, eliminating the need for in-person visits to union council offices.
The system allows applicants to submit requests directly to their respective union councils from the comfort of their homes. In the first phase, the facility has been introduced in 71 union councils of Chakwal, 44 in Jhelum, and 65 in Nankana Sahib. NADRA plans to expand the service nationwide in phases as part of its Digital Pakistan initiative.
This development is part of NADRA’s broader efforts to digitise civic services, streamline procedures, and improve public accessibility via user-friendly platforms.
