Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has unveiled a massive Rs100 billion development package to upgrade Peshawar and restore its historic identity. The plan focuses on improving civic facilities, revamping public spaces, and fast-tracking long-delayed urban projects.
The CM shared the roadmap during a meeting with current and former lawmakers from Peshawar, where senior political and administrative officials also participated. He stressed that Peshawar is the cultural and administrative heart of the province, and its development “can no longer wait.”
Afridi announced that a major consultative gathering will soon be held to push ahead with key mega schemes. A public event has also been scheduled for December 7 to build momentum and gather support for the new development agenda.
Under the Rs100 billion package, the provincial government aims to focus on infrastructure expansion, improved transport systems, upgraded civic services, and modern urban planning. Officials said progress will be closely monitored to ensure transparency and timely completion of all projects.
