The Islamabad Capital Territory will soon have its own dedicated Capital House in the F-5 sector after the Capital Development Authority approved the project’s PC-I. The decision was made during a CDA Development Working Party meeting chaired by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, which also cleared multiple mega projects totaling over Rs. 83 billion.
The Capital House is projected to cost Rs. 3.2 billion and will be modeled after existing provincial houses in Sindh, Punjab, KP, and Balochistan. This project aims to consolidate fragmented government accommodations, offering a centralized, modern facility. Work is expected to begin soon and complete within 24 months.
In addition to the Capital House, the CDA approved Rs. 3 billion for constructing government officers’ residences in Islamabad. This high-rise building will feature a ground floor plus 14 floors, including electrical, mechanical, and horticulture works. The authority also sanctioned a Rs. 635 million project to upgrade the Diplomatic Enclave, which is expected to be completed in six months, enhancing facilities for diplomats and officials.
