HEC invites Proposals for CPEC Collaborative Research Grant 2022
The Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan has invited research proposals from faculty members of higher education institutions for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Collaborative Research Grant (CPEC-CRG) 2022.
According to an official statement issued on Tuesday, the deadline for the full project submission is May 20, 2022.All faculty members of public and private sector universities/degree awarding institutions can avail the opportunity to submit research proposals that can help address issues pertaining to “Pakistan’s socio-economic development, in general, and CPEC in particular”, through joint research by universities of Pakistan and China, drawing upon research potential of academia on both sides.
CPEC Collaborative Research Grant (CPEC-CRG) is one of the key components of the HEC initiative namely “Academic Collaboration under CPEC Consortium of Universities”.
CPEC-CRG is anticipated to support promising research partnerships between Pakistan and China in specific priority thematic areas of national interest, utilizing research potential and past experience of China in resolving national challenges in these areas.
CPEC-CRG awards will be selected competitively using a merit-based, independent, transparent evaluation and selection process based upon international standards. The maximum project duration is three years.The areas of research include sustainable agriculture, health and wellbeing, clean water and sanitation, poverty alleviation, Science and Technology for sustainable development, cultural harmony between Pakistan and China, sustainable energy and sustainable infrastructure etc.
