The Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with China’s Optimize Integration Group Inc. to strengthen cooperation in trade, investment, industrial development, and port-related services.
The agreement establishes a framework for future collaboration and supports the long-term development of Gwadar Port as a regional trade and logistics hub.
Cooperation to Boost Trade and Investment
Under the framework, both sides agreed to expand cooperation in business development, trade promotion, investment, and supply chain services.
Moreover, the partnership will encourage strategic business alliances that can support commercial activity at Gwadar Port and attract new investment opportunities.
Officials said the two organizations will finalize the terms of individual projects through separate agreements in the future.
Focus on Seafood Industry Development
A major objective of the cooperation is the modernization of Gwadar’s seafood industry.
The partners plan to upgrade seafood processing facilities, improve the export value chain, and enhance product quality. As a result, Gwadar aims to become a regional center for seafood processing and exports.
Furthermore, the initiative is expected to create new business opportunities for local industries and exporters.
Training and Enterprise Support
The agreement also includes cooperation in technical training and industrial capacity building.
These programs will strengthen workforce skills and support the growth of port-related industries.
In addition, both sides agreed to introduce the Youdingte enterprise services platform in Gwadar. The platform will provide consulting services and business support to facilitate bilateral trade and investment.
Supporting Gwadar’s Economic Growth
Optimize Integration Group Inc., based in Shenzhen, specializes in frozen food imports, supply chain infrastructure, customs clearance, and global trade data analysis.
Therefore, its expertise is expected to support Gwadar’s industrial expansion and improve trade efficiency.
The cooperation framework reflects continued efforts to attract foreign investment, strengthen Pakistan-China industrial collaboration, and unlock the commercial potential of Gwadar Port under broader regional connectivity initiatives.
