oreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto met with Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse during Prime Minister Shabaz’s China visit. Wang Yi said that Prime Minister Shabaz is the first foreign head of government to visit China after the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, which fully reflects the particularity of China-Pakistan relations and Pakistan’s important position in China’s overall foreign affairs.
He pointed out that China will continue to provide assistance for Pakistan’s post-disaster reconstruction and is willing to work with Pakistan to promote the high-quality development of the CPEC. FM Bilawal congratulated the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. He also said that friendship with China is the cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy, and all political parties in Pakistan have a high degree of consensus on this.
