The Embodied Intelligence Robot Games made their debut in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on Friday, with over 100 research teams, companies, and universities participating. More than 150 robots showcased the latest breakthroughs in robotics technology during the event.
The games began with “Qinglong,” a humanoid robot, delivering the athlete’s oath. The competition includes 10 key categories, covering both competitive and application-based tracks such as sprinting, cross-country running, soccer, basketball, dancing, combat, cargo handling, intelligent grasping, indoor rescue, and innovative challenges.
Organizers selected Wuxi as the event’s host city due to its growing presence in fields like artificial intelligence, third-generation semiconductors, low-altitude economy, commercial aerospace, and humanoid robotics. The city’s strong industrial foundation in robotics and smart manufacturing provides an ideal environment for innovation and large-scale events like these.
