Ahsan Iqbal has said that Phase-II of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will focus on innovation, industrial growth, and people-to-people connectivity. He described this phase as a major step toward sustainable economic development.
He explained that new initiatives will include growth corridors, innovation corridors, and livelihood corridors. These efforts aim to strengthen Pakistan’s economic base and create more opportunities for the public.
The minister praised both Pakistani and Chinese professionals for their contributions to CPEC projects. He said their dedication has played a key role in the success of the initiative so far.
He also highlighted the importance of renewable energy in future development. According to him, clean energy solutions are essential for long-term economic stability. Human resource development was another key focus of his remarks.
China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Phase-II will also promote stronger educational cooperation. The Knowledge Corridor initiative will help improve academic exchange and skill development between the two countries.
The minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to its strategic partnership with China. He noted that CPEC has already helped reduce energy shortages and boost economic growth across the country.

He also emphasized the growing geopolitical importance of Gwadar. The port is expected to play a central role in regional trade and connectivity.
