Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir visited Multan Garrison, where he presided over the induction ceremony of the advanced Z-10ME attack helicopters into Pakistan Army Aviation. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the all-weather helicopters are equipped with precision strike capabilities, modern radar systems, and advanced electronic warfare suites. Their addition marks a significant step forward in the modernisation of Army Aviation and strengthens the Army’s ability to tackle aerial and ground threats effectively.
During his visit, the Army Chief also witnessed a live firepower demonstration of the newly inducted helicopters at Muzaffargarh Field Firing Ranges. The demonstration reflected the Army’s integrated battlefield tactics and reinforced its combat readiness against evolving security challenges.
COAS Munir interacted with troops, commending their high morale, professionalism, and combat readiness. He appreciated the combined arms demonstration and reaffirmed the Army’s commitment to maintaining an operational edge in modern warfare.
In addition to operational reviews, the Army Chief held an interactive session with members of academia and civil society. Emphasizing the need for national cohesion, he highlighted the importance of civil-military synergy and a unified national approach to counter hybrid threats and promote societal stability.
The visit concluded with COAS expressing satisfaction over the formation’s operational preparedness and ongoing training standards.
