Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Guoqing, speaking at the second Nuclear Energy Summit in Paris as China’s special representative, called for global collaboration to ensure nuclear energy supports the development and prosperity of all nations. He highlighted China’s commitment to a balanced nuclear security strategy and international cooperation.
Zhang emphasized China’s dedication to implementing initiatives such as the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, and the Global Governance Initiative. He stressed nuclear energy innovation, safety foundation building, and industrial collaboration as priorities for fostering win-win outcomes.
The summit brought together leaders and senior representatives from over 30 countries and international organizations, issuing a joint statement titled “Safe and affordable nuclear energy for all.” China continues to actively fulfill its international obligations while promoting nuclear energy cooperation worldwide.
