Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Thursday urged enterprises from China and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to capitalize on emerging opportunities for cooperation through the continued joint efforts of both nations.
During his official visit to the UAE, Li addressed the UAE-China Business Forum in Dubai. He highlighted that China-UAE relations are at a pivotal moment, with economic and trade ties ready for an upgrade. He encouraged businesses from both countries to seize new opportunities by following key global trends.
Li first called on enterprises to explore new possibilities through high-quality Belt and Road cooperation. He emphasized the need for a global outlook, while deepening ties in infrastructure, connectivity, and financing to integrate further into global industrial and supply chains.
Secondly, he urged both countries to align their development strategies. By identifying shared priorities and areas of interest, the two nations could boost cooperation in trade, new energy, and tourism, he added.
Thirdly, Li highlighted the need to harness opportunities in technological and industrial innovation. He urged collaboration in advanced manufacturing, digital economy, and artificial intelligence, with innovation as a driving force for future development.
Welcoming UAE companies to invest in China, Li expressed confidence that economic cooperation between the two nations would continue to grow, benefiting both countries.
Marking the 40th anniversary of China-UAE diplomatic relations, Li noted the deep-rooted and fruitful economic ties that have developed over centuries, grounded in shared values and mutual trust.
Both countries have embraced economic globalization, creating development successes through openness and cooperation. Their efforts have resulted in mutual benefits and strengthened ties, Li said.
Li pointed out that both nations are part of the Asian community, which values peace, unity, and cooperation. He emphasized that Asia’s recent peace and development, despite global challenges, is a shared pursuit worth preserving.
Over 200 representatives from China and the UAE, including government officials and business leaders, attended the forum. UAE business representatives praised China’s dynamism and market potential, expressing a desire to increase investments in areas like infrastructure, technology, and energy under the Belt and Road framework.
