A group of trainees from Pakistan’s New Gwadar International Airport recently completed an extensive training program organised by the Academy for International Business Officials under China’s Ministry of Commerce. The program took place in Urumqi and marked a significant step in strengthening aviation collaboration between China and Pakistan under the Belt and Road Initiative.
During their visit, the trainees toured Urumqi Tianshan International Airport, managed by the Xinjiang Airport Group. They closely examined advanced airport technologies, including automated check-in systems and intelligent security screening equipment. The participants actively engaged with experts to understand technical applications and cost management practices essential for airport operations.
At the graduation ceremony held on August 4, Lv Huibin, General Manager of Xinjiang Airport Group, highlighted the strong all-weather strategic partnership between China and Pakistan. He reaffirmed the Group’s commitment to leveraging its geographical advantage and technical expertise to further deepen civil aviation cooperation with Pakistan.
Representing the Pakistani trainees, an official praised Xinjiang Airport Group’s high professional standards, operational capacity, and technological innovations, describing it as a clear example of China’s leadership in global civil aviation.
This training program not only enhanced the skills of Pakistani aviation professionals but also established a new channel for ongoing cooperation in infrastructure development and civil aviation between the two countries.
