On December 31, 2025, China’s Long March-7A carrier rocket successfully launched the Shijian-29A and Shijian-29B satellites from the Wenchang Space Launch Site in Hainan Province. This launch marked the completion of 73 orbital missions by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) in 2025.
Among the launches, 69 missions were conducted using Long March rockets, while the Jielong-3 rocket completed four launches. Over 300 spacecraft, including rideshare payloads, were sent into orbit, a substantial increase from 51 launches and 190 spacecraft in 2024.
With an average launch every five days, CASC set new records in launch density and mission scale, highlighting China’s rapid advancement and growing capabilities in space technology.
