China has acknowledged the United States’ announcement of a one-year suspension of its Affiliates Rule, effective from November 10, 2025, to November 9, 2026. The suspension means affiliated companies already under US export control lists will not face additional restrictions under this rule during this period.
A Ministry of Commerce spokesperson said the move represents an important step in implementing the economic and trade consensus reached during the China-US Kuala Lumpur consultations. China welcomed this gesture as a positive sign of mutual engagement.
The spokesperson emphasized that both sides will continue discussions after the one-year suspension to ensure stable and cooperative arrangements. China is committed to working with the US on the basis of mutual respect and equal consultation to manage differences and strengthen bilateral economic ties.
China also highlighted the importance of this step for promoting mutually beneficial cooperation between enterprises in both countries while safeguarding the security and stability of global industrial and supply chains.
