The China Science and Technology Museum announced on Tuesday that it will host a month-long exhibition featuring 50 science-themed movies with special visual effects. This initiative aims to give audiences the chance to explore cinematic works focused on science.
The screening, running from April 8 to May 5, will be part of the sci-tech section of the 15th Beijing International Film Festival.
The collection of films comes from 14 countries, including China, Russia, the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom, covering a wide array of subjects such as nature, aerospace, cutting-edge technology, and fantasy animation.
The movies will be showcased on various screens, including dome screens, giant screens, and in 4D formats.
The event will feature the Asian premieres of four films, with 21 films being shown for the first time in China. Additionally, 21 classic and domestic science films will be available for free viewing, as per the museum’s announcement.
In addition to the film screenings, the museum will host other activities, such as academic salons, science education programs, and film concerts.
