China showcases lunar samples in an exhibition in Beijing, marking a historic moment.
For the first time, lunar samples from both the near and far sides of the Moon are being showcased together in an exhibition that opened on Tuesday in Beijing.
This exhibition, held at the National Museum of China, focuses on China’s lunar exploration program spanning two decades. It is jointly organized by the museum and the China National Space Administration (CNSA).
The lunar samples were collected during China’s Chang’e-5 and Chang’e-6 missions.
In addition to the lunar samples, the exhibition features hundreds of valuable artifacts, photographs, and documents detailing China’s lunar exploration journey, which began with official approval in 2004.
The exhibition offers a comprehensive overview of the country’s lunar exploration efforts, shedding light on its historical development, key achievements, and future goals.
The exhibition will remain open for two months.
