Trade Growth Hits 12.5%
The bilateral goods trade between China and Pakistan soared to US $16.724 billion from January to August 2025, marking a 12.5% increase year-on-year, according to data published by Huajing Industry Research Institute.

The China‑Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) underpins this momentum. Designed to span investment, trade, energy and transport, CPEC’s special economic zones and the strategic Gwadar Port are expected to foster trade flows and attract foreign investment.
Industrial Complementarity & Market Potential
China’s strengths in manufacturing, infrastructure and energy align with Pakistan’s abundant natural and human resources. Pakistani agriculture and mineral exports are finding demand in China, while Chinese machinery and power equipment help Pakistan upgrade its infrastructure. With over 250 million people, Pakistan offers a growing market for Chinese goods, and China’s demand for Pakistani raw materials is rising.
Strong Policy Backing & Investment Incentives
Both governments have backed the partnership with policy frameworks and incentives. Pakistani authorities now allow Chinese investors to freely remit profits and dividends, providing a favourable environment for Chinese enterprises. These policy moves support the deepening economic cooperation between the two nations.
