China and Pakistan officials convened in Beijing to assess the advancements made in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) during the previous decade.
Special Joint Cooperation Committee of both countries also looked in the future opportunities.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman National Development and Reform Commission of China Cong Liang said Beijing has been Pakistan’s largest trading partner for eight consecutive years.
As a flagship project under the Belt and Road Initiative, the CPEC projects energy, transportation, and industrial cooperation were completed and had created over 230,000 jobs by the end of 2022.
